They really are HOT dogs

Every now and then I warm up a hot dog in the microwave for one of the kiddo's lunch. Then I have to cut it up on the plate in to bite-size pieces for ketchup dipping. Ouch, it's hot. Holding the hot dog carefully but firmly so I can cut through it (won't think about why it's so hard to cut through) burns my fingers - and I suffer through it to get it done. And halfway through causing pain to my fingers I remember that it would be so much easier if I cut the dog before it goes in the micro when it's nice and cold. Every time I remember- after it's already been warmed up. Somehow I need to remember sooner.
